United-Kingdom How many MINI's have you purchased ?

Reading other threads ALOT of people tend to buy another MINI which is the same as their old one. I mean if you have a MINI One and decide to upgrade to a Cooper or have a Cooper and decided to upgrade to an "S" then I understand, but why do so many people on here buy another Cooper when they already have one which is just a year old or something ? I don't understand this, why not just keep the one you had ?

You should've made this a poll.

I just have one Mini, but I have heard of alot of people buying a Mini for their spouse and such, and many people just wishing to upgrade.

But all these examples are understandable. If your wife has a MC and you get a MC or a MCS I can understand this or if you upgrade from a MC to a MCS but alot of people tend to buy a MC then a year later sell it and buy another MC. I cant understand why this is. Why not keep the one you had ?

Newer = less rattles / faults!

Also, an opportunity to re-spec your MINI with the options you wish you had, and leave out those you could live without.

When I sold Cooper to buy Cooper S, I ticked loads more option boxes. A lot of the options I was gonna spec on the Cooper just weren't available for its Oct 2001 build date (Xenons, 17" wheels, MFSW). Additionally, Harmon/Kardon became avaialable (tick box) and my Cooper S has a glovebox, trinket tray, better steering wheel, different pedals, and other stuff.

I am on my second MINI due to the fact that my first ONE was a very early build car (AUG 2001) and it had lots of problems. After 6 months MINI offered to replace it so I ordered a new car and went wild with the options list. My new car is a much better built car overall

Ow right I c, so the main reason is to get a newer MINI without the problems of the older ones. Has the quality of finish really improved then, coz there are some shocking stories on this site.

I dunno about main reason, but it's definitely a bonus to have a better built MINI

I've ordered my second MINI, but after a very short time with my CVT, which I bought off the lot. This coming car is a 5 speed with the sport package, which my current one does not have. After getting to know the car for well over a month, I am convinced the MINI is well worth having, I personally feel I just made a mistake by getting the CVT- its not MINI's fault! (and it's not my salesman's fault either). So I am looking forward getting my new MINI.

I only wish I could afford all these MINI's. I would love to have had two and be ordering my third. Sadly I can just about afford one. Still, thats why I gotta make sure I get the right one. Im getting a MINI Cooper in black with white roof and white mirrors, 16" white star alloys, TLC, fog lights, chrome inserts, full beige leather interior, manual air con and MFSW. This covers everything I really want in the MINI but at the same time is the lowest price I could get it too. I like my extras, and I have decided its worth getting what I want rather than cutting costs and then after a few weeks of getting the MINI realising I wanted more stuff.

Good spec, badboyz, and I know it'll look stunning too. Get some good quality paint polish on those white wheels soon after you take delivery

When are you expecting your Cooper?

Im looking at ordering my Cooper around christmas time. I'm just saving up a bit more money at the moment. CAN'T WAIT to get it. Its getting sad how often I'm thinking about it, but IMO its the best looking car on the road with great performance and its gonna be all mine

Will the polish keep the dirt off the white wheels then ? I wouldn't think of not getting the white wheels, they look amazing
