Too bad the state of Vermont has those green plates.
Are there any "special interest" plates you could pay a few bucks extra for that would go better with your colors?

Search the forums and personal galleries for velvet and you'll find a lot of pictures. They may not sell many of that colour, but they seem to attract very proud owners.

saw my first vr/w on the road today (well, parked at a gas station). it looked awesome - of course, the sun was shining which helps, but i'll be sad to see this colour go...

Velvet Red is nice but there is a reason why this color never became popular....it is toooooo dark and its tendency to look brown under certain light (Or lack of it).

MINI should have made some sort of rich looking Metallic Candy Apple red color. Velvet Red was a nice idea but was not 100% executed to perfection.

I love the Velvet Red (especially with a Black top). This was my very favorite combo on a Cooper. Sorry to see it going away.

Saw my first Gold at the dealers last week. What were they thinking?
