Offline | I know it's a bit late but I visited Le Mans for the first time in my life went to see the qualifying too. Dunno if anybody has been before but it's truly spectacular, awwhh the noise ![]() I stayed in the grounds of a chateux camping, it was all set up with buses too and from the track as parking is impossible and you can get some sleep away from the noise. The racing was excellent as was the weather, I will be definately visiting next year. The place I stayed at does club bookings too maybe a few from here would like to go via them. As for Minis there were the MCS on the Channel Tunnel but hire cars?? I mentioned Mini2 and got a blank look, oh well I tried ![]() There was an EB/W S on the campsite too but the guy looked proper busy so I didn't get chance to speak to him ![]() There were lots of TVR's, Elises etc and the owner were v. interesting to talk too. This is just a brief thing but it's well worth a visit, I have some photos I will post if anyones interested?? P.S. Bentley 1,2 Yes Please ![]() |

Offline | Okay It cost with this company I went with Callender Classics, £250, with this you get your ticket which includes Qualifying, Pit walk, Race and scrutineering. Safe Car parking and superior camping( superior compared to the standard place) A good nights sleep ![]() A fried breakfast Compared to the standard camping that you got to see I will definately go back there. Next time I think I will upgrade my ticket to a grandstand seat so there is no getting squashed, or getting wet or direct sunlight. pictures to follow |

Offline | Thanks RedUn, great pics...I'll get there some day. The Mugen-powered car is a Panoz...a small American manufacturer owned by Donald Panoz who also owns Road Atlanta, Sebring, and Mosport in Canada. He is the founder of the American LeMans Series (ALMS)...history lesson over. Thanks again! ![]() |

Offline | The Panoz is the picture that you have labeled "some Mugen-powered car"...it's a front engined batmobile looking car. I know that they have run the Ford V8 in previous years, but I thought that they may have changed to another powerplant for '03...after reading your caption. ![]() ![]() |
