Received a postcard in the mail today signed by J.D. Power III himself. It reads:

Soon we will be sending you a questionnaire to hear about these experiences as part of a study that we are conducting on behalf of MINI USA. Your feedback is vital to the success of this study. Please take the time to document your experiences and opinions on our questionnaire. We would appreciate having the person who drives your MINI the most fill out the questionnaire.

Please understand that your name, responses and comments will remain strictly confidential, and that no one will try to sell you anything after you return the questionnaire. We understand how precious your time is and truly appreciate your cooperation.

Well now - conducting a study in conjunction with MINI USA. This should be a good chance to provide some feedback.

I got one back in ummm, February, I think.

I filled it out, even though they didn't send any money.

Best thing is just to be honest - No sense going on about stuff like the rear foglights, as they weren't a delivered feature on the car. Plus, I think MINIUSA has already gotten the word about that.

This makes it sound like jd power has BMW in their pocket. I wonder if someone buying a Toyota Echo or Ford Focus gets the same form letter mentioning a simialr "elite group of owners"

What should I tell them?
