United-States Mini and Steak and Shake

Has anyone else noticed the striking similarity between the Mini logo and the Steak and Shake logo.?

Smile Mmmmmmm. . . . .

Steak & Shake

Wish we had them up here.
Yes, this topic was brought up on another board and several people said they had noticed the resemblance.

And the shakes are so thick you have to eat them with a spoon. Too bad they only have chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry.

Good thing we're vacationing in Florida later this summer. I got me a hankerin' for a Steak 'n Shake!!!

Let's start another online petition (ala the rear fog light petition) to get Steak 'n Shake to build up North. We've got Kopps and Culvers stores around here... much better than McDonalds, but still no Steak 'n Shake.

The best thing about driving 95 miles to the dealer for service is: the Steak & Shake is near there. P.S. - the large vanilla shake cup DOES fit in the rear cupholder. So much for those sore sports who complained to J.D. Powers.

Yes, but the truth is that I have used the rear cupholder exclusively since I took delivery (yes, I stopped for a shake on the way back) and find that nothing spills during cornering and that you really do get used to the reach over and back. It may help that I'm pretty tall so my seat is moved back there anyway.

Hey msenkbeil, you got a Steak & Shake about 35 minutes to the south, by Gurnee Mills, off of IL 132, Grand Avenue. Check it out. After all, I went up to International in West Allis to get my car ... so you can come down from cheeseland to get some burgers. Smiles.

Early is on time; On time is late.

Ahh...... Culvers. I discovered Culvers during a trip to Madison WI and fell in love (especially with the frozen custard) but the restaurants haven't made it all the way south to San Antonio yet.

I've actually driven 80 miles north to Austin just to visit the Culvers there.

(we don't have Stake n' Shakes or White Castles here either )

why would you want a white castle?
Have you been to sonic? pretty good food, great cherry limeade, and since its a drive in resturant (they come to your car) a great place to show off your MC or MCS

White Castles Makes Terrific Burgers - I miss them too. Remember how this thread started off talking about the similarity of the Steak & Shake logo to MINI's? Looks like we're going to eat first and talk about that later.

White Castle, YUM!!!!

I love eating White Castles (and if you've ever had a few you know why they are called sliders.)

If you've been to White Castle you know it isn't the most elegant dining experience. However, on Valentine's Day each year they decorate the place and put white linen table clothes out and you can only get a table if you make reservations in advance. Some friends of ours go every year, but it's not my wife's idea of a romantic dinner.

Ummm, yeah, back on topic, the White Castle logo bears no resemblance to the MINI logo.

Where's the Steak & Shake near Flow? I went to the stupid McDonalds (ought to rename it McRetirees!) across the street when I was there last week. You can skip their new McPancake sandwich thingie - too doughy.

Chip H.

PS. I saw you in downtown Raleigh the other day, at Dawson (US-1/Capitol Blvd) and Jones St.

Hi Chip -

There are two on the way out to Flow. One is in Burlington at the Eton exit of I-40 and the other is in Winston-Salem just a couple of doors south from the Ferrari Dealership (itself a pretty cool pitstop) off of I-40. Sorry I don't have exit numbers - but the billboards are there to guide you.
