| Professional Lurker | Newbie with a question! Hi all I'm new to the forum - been lurking for a while now so I thought I'd anounce my presence with a question. Ordered my new MCS a couple of months ago - been through the ritual colur changes and eventually settled on Indi Blue with White roof and white 17" S-Spokes. It will finally be in my grasp on 1st September - but what I need to know is what is the recommended running in period and what have other MCS owners done about running in? | MINI2 Regular | Break In I kept mine below 4000 rpm for the first 1250 miles. There is a section that covers break-in procedures in the owners manual. 2003 MINI Cooper S, Dark Silver w/White Roof, Sport Package, Auto Climate Control, 17S-Lites, Rain Sensing Wiper, MFSW, Grey Space Cloth Interor. |

Offline | Just checked the manual. It's under 4500 rpm for the first 1250 miles gradually increasing revs thereafter. I did a by-the-book break-in and it's not too hard -- there's a decent amount of power under 4500. '03 MCS, black / black, 16" Wheels |
