Offline | Sun visor strips I know it could be concieved as a little Nova-esque but I am considering a sun strip for my cooper. I am gonna go for a fairly deep strip similar to the one pictured below if I get it to work. Black with a silver mini winged badge in the centre or I may go for several mini wings across the width of the strip. My main concern is the auto wipe option on the car. Will putting the sun strip on effect the rain sensor?..and therefore the wipers/auto speed doodaah on the car. Has anyone fitted a sunstrip...noticed anything go wrong...would you have opted for a specific design if you found a problem to avoid the issue you had? Help guys, cheers...I want to have most of the cheaper details ready for when the car arrives so I can use the first 3 days of motoring to get the add ons fitted. The shark gills are waiting as is the S filler cap and the RGM front splitter. ....OK I cant work out how to add the pic but its in my gallery now...its a car from custom auto fasion...one of the project cars belonging to a worker? there. |

Offline | I think I did it though this time Also If I have the Cooper with Chilli I should have auto wipers?...is this right as I'm pretty sure my sale girl said so?...If not then the stip wont affect the rain sensore as there wont be one. |

Offline | It should be easy to tell if you have autowipers. Look at the screen from the outside and if you have a little box (with blue glassy looking interior) stuck to the inside of the windscreen behind the rear view you have them. WRT to the sunstrip - too nova/corsa-esque ![]() |

| I was considering putting a sun strip on my mini arriving in September (exactly like the one in the pic). However, I have completely gone off the idea, for two reasons. Fistly, i think it cheapens the car, making it agreeably too nova/corsa-esque, and secondly, the front windscreen is fairly small, and putting a strip along the top will do you no favours at all, in my opinion. Good luck mate, in whatever you decide ![]() |
