10 weeks wait >>> 2 day wait ?

So I am ready to order a Mini .. as some of you may have seen my request on another thread for TALL drivers and their experiences with manuals ... and I go to the dealer tonight.

Lo and behold .. he has an automatic red/white with sports pack, cold pack and xenons ... a demo car with 260 miles ... and he is willing to knock off $500!!!

So it looks like my 10 week wait has been turned into a 2 day wait. If all goes well with the loan tomorrow ... it will be ready for pick-up on Friday.

Originally wanted a red/black roof ... but the original color combo does look sweet! And manual would really be murder for me in NYC.

What do you think ... go for it???

Is that $500 off MSRP or $500 off the sticker price for the Demo? I think since those 260 miles are sorta rough (no one pays attention to rev limits etc on a Demo car) and its pretty close to the end of the model year, you should get more then $500 off MSRP for a demo car, especially since its easy to just go to somewhere like Mini of the Hamptons who probably also have similar (though not exact) cars in stock that aren't demos.

Besides paying less (maybe you could get free floormats or something else useful (bonnet stripes if you want them, etc)) it seems like a good idea. White roofs are better in my opinion anyway, its not obvious the roof's a different color in black, it just looks like the car's only painted on the bottom, sorta defeats the purpose.

Well, I went for it. Got a great deal on financing and do not want to wait.
$500 off MSRP plus free floormats ... I am not complaining.

Talked to Mini of the Hamptons and they had like 6 CVT's in stock but all had sunroofs which I did not want and the colors available were not good either.

Looks like after 5 pm tomorrow I can pick it up ... can't freaking wait !!!! Now I just have to work all night as sleep will not be possible.
