Hello all, my name is Rob, from Long Island New York
I spent the last 2 hours browsing the forum and getting myself worried about the mini we ordered. A call to my dealer seems to have comforted me for now, lol.

Dealer is seeing if he can grab one that has the same options from somewhere else, otherwise it will be here late August.

Looking forward to tinkering around with it and doing
some customizing. I do fiberglass repair and customizing
on boats, as well as paint on boats and cars, so I will be
looking to make this car "mine".

It seems like you guys/gals are into the these cars and
display alot of time and effort so it may be hard to stand out in the pack I guess.

I come here from the RX-7 world, which I am still apart of, and for now thats all that there is on my homepage.

Look forward to chatting and sharing tech with you people.

Welcome to MINI2. Be sure to browse the Exterior forum if body mods 'float your boat', and the MINI Profiles (from the community drop down) might also help you find some inspiration from other custom MINIs.

Don't worry about your MINI, most are fine, and even those that aren't perfect are still for the most part loved!

thanks for the welcome. Im more into subtle body and interior mods, not the wild stuff.

Just a Mini, not a S. Its going to be my GFs daily driver and the dealer actually told me that unless she was going to be driving the car hard not to bother with the S, plus the 5speed would be easier around town then the 6 speed.

I have my toys and my daily driver, but I have been toying with the idea of adding one of those vintage minis to the stable.

Excuse my lack of tehnicall terminology, like I said im new to the Mini world!

Welcome, Mini X. I'm curious though, since you're an RX-7 enthusiast, how you decided on a Mini instead of an RX-8. The people on the RX-8 forum, most of whom seem to own RX-7s, are just as crazy about RX-8s as we are about Minis.
