Excluding mini's, the most fun car you've driven?

Loved Northandy thread on worst new car.
Vectra (previous models) take some beating!

But excluding minis, whats the most fun car you've had.

Me - a 1973 Renault 4 TL
850cc, probably about 25bhp
4 speed dash mounted (with first left and towards you!)
no heater
windscreen wipers that got tired and stopped working
bench front seat
max speed - i ONCE GOT IT UP TO 60.

But supremely practical, fast, wonderful handling, economincal - it was my first car and remains without doubt the most fun - not the best, just the most fun.

HO/Black MCC Born 29th June 2004 - first in the north east!

Blue Mini City E - "ratpack" - born 1984
bit scruffy, bit rusty, bit smelly but huge fun.

Ford Capri 3.0!
Ok Ok, its really naff but it was so much fun.
Stupidly quick in a straight line and impossible to get round any sort of bend at any sort of speed. Go into a bend carrying too much speed and the chassis couldn't cope and you'd spin off. Put your foot down too early coming out of a bend and you'd light up the rear tyres and spin off (chassis was too soggy to catch power oversteer easily). However, when you got the power oversteer just right then it was fabulous.
Not the best car I've ever driven (in fact, one of the worst) but definately one of the most fun

most fun cars i ve owned or driven

Nissan 240SX (HKS modification) (had this car for 5 years and it never stopped drifting!!)

it would beat twin turbo supras on I-95.

fun fun fun to drive, scary on wet and snow!

Track only 97 BMW M3. My brother's car. Trully a disney ride. Its like driving a race bike with 4 wheels.
Too bad he has slicks on it. she loves to drift continuously!

porsches are fun to drive too..

I'm jealous of the Capri 3.0 - when i was 17 I worked in a ford garage cleaning cars and pumping fuel.

Every now and again I got to drive a car. mostly yhe escort van but I do remmber collecting a 2.8 injection capri in dark green.

Wonderful

An an XR2 as a first car!!!!!!

co-driven:
porsche GT3 .. awesome, McLaren F1 ... do I need to say more?

driven:
VW '74 Beetle in 10 inch snow..... I actually kept driving till 3 am , even though I was home since 5 hours... there is a big 4 lane roundabout in brussels and it was deserted... so I kept hammering and drifting like crazy..

BMW Z1 ... always a pleasure
Land Rover Defender on a trial track ... good fun
VW Beetle '69 with a Porsche 914/6 motor in it .. good lord

Series 3 Landrover
Underpowered (max speed 60), unreliable, aquaphobic, drank fuel

But even though I've had better cars (including a sligtly more modern landy) noting had the same fun factor

Plus I was at uin at the time, and apart from fuel, all other running costs were minimal

Porsche 928 S4. Capable of absolutely ludicrous speeds while still being a very refined and relaxed GT car. Breaking the back end loose was quite the fun exercise.

Most fun had to be my Saxo VTR, lot of fun to drive but the build quality was lacking - lots of things fell off!!!

And also had a Mk1 escort as my first car

Well if it makes you feel any better I've also driven a 2.8 and it was by far a superior car to the 3.0. Its just that the 3.0 was more of an old style 'muscle car' and hence more fun/scary (delete as applicable)

Series 2 Peugeot 106 Rallye.

Very light weight and chuckable. Did get noisy though, as it didn't even have any sound deadening.

Fantastic car, if only build quality was better!

Other than my last car a 1990 Mini Cooper S, it would have to be a Smart Crossblade (with no windows, windscreen or doors!) which I drove in all the snow and cold weather earlier this year!

Lotus Carlton....
and my 1990 Astra GTE 16v....more power than the chassis could handle made it very entertaining especially in the wet.

I suppose the M3 is fun.....
