changing memory options, how much?

I wanted to change some of the memory options- daytime running lights, locking options etc.

How much do dealers charge for this?

If i have my software upgaded, does the dealer have to reprogram these options and is that a good time to have them change them?

Your best bet is going to be to contact your dealer about it. I've seen price jumps between dealers for the same item. An example is getting the driving beams activated on the "euro" style wiring. I've seen prices listed on here and MCO from having it done for free to $90.

I think most dealers will do it for free as it only takes a few minutes. The best tactic seems to be to ask for it to be done while the car is in for something else, then they're less likely to charge for the work.

Agree with Paul.

My MCS was in yesterday for it's first service ( the 10K-ish one) and asked for lots of changes to the key memory settings. Result was no charge!

Well done to **** Lovett's of West Swindon!

PS They let me have a go in their works converted MCS while I waited! Report to follow...
