No option there for me. I use Amoco (which is owned by BP now but still sells Amoco gas) when possible, and I'll probably go with them for the MINI, but I generally end up buying Clark for my Saturn because it's not worth going out of my way for gas for it.

Another Optimax user here. I find my MINI runs smoother and pulls better at lower revs than with standard unleaded

I'm a supermarket ho; I just use whatever is available when needed. Unless you're going to keep your car for years then there's no reason not to use supermarket fuel. It may have less additives etc, but that's not your problem in 3 years.

Any 97 ron or higher...Dont fill any of my performance vehicles with cheap stuff. I use the superstores mostly but as long as its high octane rather than 95 etc then its all good.

The higher octane does masses for the tuned classic cooper 1275 RSP, she idles better and has smoother pckup, havent got the BMW yet so can't offer my opinions on it.

97+ ron is ace in the tuned 1000 cc also so I would guess at an improvement in the BMW also, although I imagine tuned cars finding/feeling best results (my standard cars havent really changed at all wichever petrol iv'e used but the tuned ones the difference is massive!

In my Cooper there was actually an improvement in fuel consumption which outwieghed the additional cost and in my MCS it made it run much smoother. Gave a nice exhaust note too adding the all important lift off "cackle"

LOL
Not quite sure if it will work on a One or Cooper.
These exhaust notes are very buzzy and not throaty enough

From now on I am going to put only "petrol" in my MINI (when I get it that is). No more "gas"

Cheers
