Offline | I think you've answered your own question, the metallic orange will replace it. They're limited to numbers of colours at one time. Our trials and tribulations living in a "bleeding edge" eco house... Oxley Woods Living |

Offline | Paint shop limitations, and it's a pretty new paintshop (it was installed for the Rover 75 I believe), so it would be expensive to renovate or add another one. That said, rumour has it MINI are seeking to up production considerably! Our trials and tribulations living in a "bleeding edge" eco house... Oxley Woods Living |

Offline | I read in Auto Express that the cabrio isn't going to be built at Oxford. It will be built in Italy on the same production line as the Ford Street Ka, I think it was the Pininfarina factory. It does mean however that the paint shop could have a couple of extra colours, if two are being used in Italy. If it is still limited to 12 colours in total. It means only 8 are available for the one and Cooper and the others are 'exclusive' ![]() |

Offline | I've no evidence to support that. I believe it will be built at Oxford. I hear whispers the overal production could be as much as around 180,000 a year, with around 1/3 of total units being cabrio's. Our trials and tribulations living in a "bleeding edge" eco house... Oxley Woods Living |

Offline | Right now you have to choose between Comfort Opening or popping open the bootlid. With an extra button, you could do both. Also, you could pop the bootlid instantly instead of holding a button in for 5 seconds, which is how it works now. Remote comfort closing would be sweet, but it's a safety issue. At least we can close the windows from the door lock. |

Offline | Paul, I have had a look where I read it and it was in Auto Express issue 763, 9th to the 15th of July, page 47. It was a 'special' issue of world new car exclusives. In the Italy section it says that BMW is looking for a producer of future mini models and Pininfarina is in the running so nothing definate there, sorry In the same mag on p.33 it says models one, cooper and S are supposedly going to be available as Mini Open cabrios with prices from £12,400 to £16,600. These figures just seem like some journos best guess by adding £2000 to the basic list price of the hard top version. ![]() |
