I think the instructions that came with mine said to use rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol). I haven't actually tried it yet though, as my car's still in the body shop getting damage the dealer did to it repaired. Once I get it back I'll put the headlight film on.

I've installed the clear plastic headlight covers. Yes, as shkeller55 indicates, you must use rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol) mixed with water - and use it liberally.

It is also important to follow the instructions and make sure your fingers are completely soaking wet with the solution when you touch the adhesive side (dry fingers leave permanent marks). The protectors are fairly easy to line up, and you can peel them back off and reposition it during the process it you need to. The squeegee part to make the plastic fit flush on the headlight went smoothly on my headlights. The whole process only took 5-10 minutes to install for both headlights.

It took about 4 days to a week for all the water fogging to disappear and for the lights to become crystal clear.
