Offline | New MCS owner....... HELP! Hi everyone, I picked up my new MCS last week.... still grinning Just a couple of questions which I can't find in the manual, hopefully someone can help. 1)I have the MFSW and CD Changer but cannot change the disk via the MFSW, yet the centre button on the left paddle does nothing Do you have to use the head unit to change discs?2)Should the seatbelt warning like turn off after a few seconds or should it stay on until the drivers belt is secured? 3)Inside the glove box is a black dial thingy which rotates 90 degrees.... haven't a clue what it is, anyone know? Thanks, DS/B, Chilli, fully loaded. |

Offline | The glovebox valve lets heat in, too. Whatever the heat/air system is doing is what the glovebox gets. It's like a gas valve and the actual vent is to the right of the knob, so horizontal is open and vertical is closed. Enjoy that car! MINImeat B/W MCS |

Offline | Seen on other threads that the air con feed to the glovebox is taken before the heater element so it always acts as a coolbox cool regardless of temperature selected for the car - sort of makes sense. Not tried it yet, only got my MCS today and plenty of other interesting things to try out first i.e. engine / gearbox!!! |

Offline | Just tried it and cold air is fed when the aircon is on, regardless of heat setting for the rest of the car - cool! Few other bits the dealer didn't tell me but found on this site: There is a small arrow on the fuel symbol in the gauge which show you which side of the car the filler cap is on. Hold down the unlock on the remote and the windows (and sunroof) open fully - looks good as you unlock and approach the car. |

Offline | Its called comfort opening. Its an option programmed by your dealer when you get the car (they should ask you if you want it, check the FAQ above on programming options). The other option is if you hold open on the key, the boot will pop. Rumor mill (see thread) says '04 cars will have a new key with separate buttons for each, so if your car is expected Oct or later, you'll automatically have this feature. Magic 8-ball was correct. All be in awe of Magic 8 ball. |
