Offline | new car! new plate? Hi all, New user so forgive the lack of graphics etc. I'm awaiting delivery of new MCS (hopefully in 2 weeks time!) and have been looking at private plates. I dont want my initials but spotted 2 possibilities in my price range (car cost enough!!). **MCS or **MNY What do you reckon? Any comments appreciated as long as they are nice!! Thanks guys Dawn |

Offline | Welcome to MINI2. MCS seems much cooler then MNY, since MNY's spelled wrong, and MCS isn't. I suspect MNI is out of your price range. Magic 8-ball was correct. All be in awe of Magic 8 ball. |

Offline | Re: new car! new plate? I reckon that all the while that you may just be tempted to drive in a slightly spirited fashion, you should hide behind a set of very anonymous plates. And besides, MCS only means something to MINI2ers, to the outside world, who knows? Get some extra toys to play with. |

Offline | If you're getting a Cooper S go for MCS. I've got a Cooper and have MNY (yes I know it's spelt wrong , but it was the nearest thing I could get to MINI for the money and besides I like it )It's amazing how many people don't get it and ask me what my plate means , but then others think it's really good. ![]() ![]() |

Offline | Thanks for that folks. Bought new plate this morning and decided to go for MNY. Couldnt quite afford M1 NYS as it was £8,000!! My sources tell me alot of Minis have MNY and that MCS is popular with Mercs. Nevertheless, I may not have the coolest plate, but I have the coolest Car!!!! (or I will have when it arrives). Dawn |

Offline | You aren't allowed the letter 'I' on a number plate as it's too similar to '1'. With regard to the suggestions, I'd go with the 'MCS' one. A personal plate finishes the car off nicely IMHO. ![]() |

Offline | The US system of vanity plates is totally different. I think its like $5 for one in Maine actually, everyone and their brother has one there, that's the cheapest I've found. Anyway, the I/1 debate I hadn;t even thought of. I know several states don't use Q because its too close to O. Thanks for the info. I guess MNY is a better idea then. Avoid those Merc's. Magic 8-ball was correct. All be in awe of Magic 8 ball. |
