Mini on snow/ice?

Hello all! I know this question was asked earlier, but at the time, there wasn't a lot of snow/ice. Although there hasn't bee a lot of snow here (Toronto, Canada) so far, the Mini's winter performance is still very important to me. In fact, I'd say that it's the make or break factor (there's always price, but $ can be salvaged when need be .

Anyone out there with a Mini have any experience with snow driving and such? How is it? Is the cold-package any good? I currently have an Impreza RS and I really like driving in snow. But I'm willing to let her go for the Cooper S if it's capable in the winter.

I can't wait for the test drive. Unfortunately, by that time I fear there won't be much snow on the ground.
