| MINI2 Senior | Kangaroo Vs Cooper Well we're in Australia, it had to happen. Red Cooper's (Mark's) lovely Cooper has been wounded by a rouge Kangaroo just outside Brisbane. There's been $4,000 worth of damage to the Cooper and one dead Kangaroo. Oh the Poor Cooper. ![]() Could this be the world's first kangaroo versus MINI? Anyway, Mark say's it should only be in MINI hospital for around six days. Get better soon MINI. Our condolences to you too Mark. |

Offline | The speed i was doing was around 80 klm per hour. I swerved to miss the kangaroo and collected it on the left guard/bumper panel.I thought the air bags would have gone off, but the smart cooper realised it was only panel damage. The picture shows what tuff little cars they realy are.I am still able to drive it. |

| MINI2 Senior | Kangaroo's can be pretty hefty. Would't touch 500kg, but, depending on the species, they're about 100 kilos for fully grown, adults. Though, judging by the speed he was going, and the damage done, it can't have been a full size roo. Bad luck on the car stack dude. Where did it happen? "Just out of Brisbane" is a bit general. I've always wondered what you should do when you hit a roo... |

Offline | What Kangeroos in the city? Maybe you should invest in a BMW Mini Approved Bull Bar like I have had fitted recently ![]() Jugman, you must NEVER SWERVE for a roo, there has been to many people killed out here. try for right in the middle because you will find that most cars actually have a bar to protect radiators in the middle (the Mini has one) Then if the Kangeroo is dead, leave it there, if not chase after it with a stick, and then cry over your car ![]() |

| MINI Traitor | I agree with you Brett. It's important to never swerve if you are going to hit a roo, as you might end up back on the road again. I mean in the city here, they generally just lie around on the footpath after they've gorged themselves on the lovely lawns (which they're very good at mowing).. ![]() Red Coooper1, what were you doing driving on the footpath, anyway ![]() ![]() |
