I just priced up the same spec MCS with a firm called:

www.scidirect.co.uk

And it's come in over £2k cheaper than ordering from a BMW/MINI dealer. You can also get the TLC as well.

Has anyone ordered from these people?

Ha ha nice one Bad Manners. Perhaps the reference was to carrying the car not purchasing it?????

One quick word of advise on imports. I work for a company who deal in Euros and Sterling every day - just be careful on the rate.

The rate has changed by 3.5% in 6 days. That's half the discount gone if it rises again.

Sorry - not trying to spoil anyones fun!!!

Did anyone see the story in Auto express not so long back about dodgy import companys etc, well Auto Express set up a false company and claimed that they could get new cars for 1 thousand to 2 thousand of UK List price, apparently they had many people wanting to put deposits down, and when they were told it was for a story they were abit displeased.

Anyway just thought would mention it.

it's strange because i've never seen an important company doing them substantially cheaper - i have only ever seen savings of a couple of hundered pounds...

My brother-in-law works for Virgin. A sister company, Virgin Cars was importing Coopers at a £20 saving off list price. A lot of the cars were snapped up by staff members. However, being imports, there is no TLC, thus wiping out any saving.
