Offline | I'm sorry you feel that way. It was'nt just parties from the sussex runs that were posting inappropriate posts. We dont play God as you so put it,but what we try and do is keep perfect harmony on a website that has over 10,000 members and when we do remove posts{which for your information is very rarely} we do it for a valid reason.! So if you have read Soggys MINI Runs – Behaviour, Etiquette and What to Expect you would see he did use alot from Paulines thread. As Aiden has already said the run had no nothing to do with MINI2 as it was only organised using the forums. Thats your choice however what I would say if your that upset about the Sussex run then talk to the organisers about it . dinger. ![]() |

Offline | OK so you stopped the thread. How do you now stop the hurtful PM's that Pauline receives in her in-box. Wonderful world. Pauline has only had her Cooper three weeks, and she gets all this from her first ever run. ![]() ![]() |

Offline | Anyone receiving flaming PMs or e-mails via MINI2 have the following options: - Report them to Paul Mullett - Disable the PM facility for a while or permenantly - Disable the e-mail via MINI2 facility for a while or permenantly - Add flammers to your ignore list (does not work with moderators by the way) The last 3 are user options that one can choose to enable or disable. I have not tried to the last option, however, I believe once you have added someone to your ignore list, you would stop receiving PMs from that person. Others can correct me if I am wrong. Offline | I'm not sure anyone is trying to run the moderators down. You do a great job and this is a great site. This site is a wealth of knowledge and a great community and ususally great fun. I think that saying its thankless i staking it a bit far. I think that deleting the thread came as a bit of surprise, that's all. No one wants to see personal attacks on a great site like this and the thread was getting heated when I saw it last - but still before the going got tough last night. It was an important issue. I didnt go on teh run, I dont even live near Sussex. I have seen people leave bike runs before though, frightened at the pace and being in with too fast a crowd. Its not nice. I suspect that the old thread will rise form this one like a Pheonix from the ashes. Perhaps you had better pull the plug no....... ![]() WhatCar? | Loves the Fuzzy One | Aiden has done a thankless and difficult task in moderating that thread. If you pause and sniff the air, you can still smell the smoke from the smoldering embers of personal attacks. This is a civilized board. If people want to get into a flame war, go to RoadFly please. ![]() ![]() Global Moderator |

Offline | Guys & Gals, Sit back, breathe deeply, stretch your arms out, shake your fingers, stand up & look out the window for a moment. Now, don't you all feel much better? This isn't the be all and end all of life! No matter who's right or wrong going through this again and again is NOT going to change anything at all, what's happened has happened. Your all individuals and find different circumstances and attitudes contary to what you expect from those around you. As for having a go at the moderators your mistaken they are doing a good job, and i don't always agree with moderation in any form. Cheers Nic |
