No, that's the US/other country rev counter. The new one should look the same as the current one.

I've heard from someone that works for BMW that the 04 'updated' MINI's will have an additional digital display on the rev counter showing the speed. The picture you've got could be the one they're going to use here in the UK?

- Oh they're also going to get a 3 series gizmo so that your windscreen wipers drop to intermittent when you stop at traffic lights (amongst other things).

This is already mentioned on the great 2004 rumour mill thread, and eleswhere on this site, it's been a long while coming. As far as we know, it's not an aditional display, it will be in the same place as the other information on the tach.

No, it's the US/Other countries (not sure which) standard tach, with a chrome ring added of course.

They (some of them) already have this option, called switch back when stationary, it should be on the FAQ on memory options.

The red line is much lower for CVT models. Don't think there is much difference if at all between the One and Cooper.

The picture you have got is a rev counter from MINI MANIA. An american based company doing some superb extras for the mini. They sell what the describe as a CHROME SET. It includes that chrome edge to the rev counter, one round the gear shift and also the buttons for windows ASC Etc.

ITs for the CVT. I wish it lit up and once the oil temp warms up it turns off the lights increasing the red line... that would have been COOL! Like the BMW ///Ms

the lower red marks might be for the One D. I know that in VW Diesels, the red line is much lower than in the gasoline cars.

Eric,

Now that would be a cool touch and more things to go wrong too.
