Offline | Been MINI’ing around for two months now and despite being 5000miles up have yet to make a big, long journey. I’ve got a great trip coming up though that I’m really, really looking forward to: London to Donegal, Ireland via Snowdonia. Lots of twisty stuff. Lots of nice scenery. Made the trip a few times but never in a MINI! ![]() (Actually, made it once in a ‘classic’ Mini, but it only went one way, the gearbox blew up and it never came back). However, it puts me in mind of my best ever journey. Took the ferry to France (in the aforementioned Mini), pointed the bonnet towards the Med and just drove with no particular destination in mind. A week of driving bliss, staying in Le Puy, Antibes, Nice and one night in the car, lost, halfway up a mountain. The driving took in the Mulsanne Straight at Le Mans, most of the Monaco Grand Prix circuit (got lost coming out of the tunnel ), the Grand St Bernard Pass, some Switzerland, some Italy and some of the most spectacular and beautiful scenery in the world. The weather was wonderful and the driving brilliant. The Mini was a chore on the motorways (so we didn’t use them, we weren’t in a hurry), but was an absolute hoot on the hairpins and twisties in the Alps.Oh, and it was my honeymoon. ![]() Unfortunately the marriage lasted only slightly longer than the Mini!!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Offline | The Norwegian Fjords takes some beating - there's a place called Hell. I drove to Hell and back, and I've got a picture to prove it. Nowadays of course anybody who's been anywhere near the M25 can say the same. |

Offline | Combination of the a483 and a370 from my house upto my gf's in Telford, 3 hours, full tank of fuel, very dirty car and a huge amount of fun including pulling out of site of a well driven 330Ci, that drive really rocked. |

Offline | Sorry to be predicable, but thrashing the MCS around the Nurburgring. If works allows I could still be a late visiter to the 'Return to the ring', but don't hold your breath! You all have to try it, it's just a shame video is not longer allowed, I have footage of my M3 around there on the download area of www.bm3w.co.uk but none in the mini! ![]() |

Offline | Monday this week. It was short, and uncharacteristically pedestrian. But then, I was driving Abi and the new family member, baby Alfie, home for the first time! ![]() Our trials and tribulations living in a "bleeding edge" eco house... Oxley Woods Living |

Offline | I don't have my MINI yet (soon, very soon, just waiting for it to get on a truck & get to my dealer) so I haven't made any journeys in it yet, so a non-MINI journey will have to count for now. Best one yet was a trip I took with hubby and a couple of friends last year. We took a long weekend and drove up to Niagara Falls (12 hours one way, 14 if your travelling companion has a tiny bladder and drinks a 1 liter bottle of water every hour ). The Falls were amazing and definitely worth the drive, but the drive itself was half the fun.:white: Jasper is home!!!! :white: |

Offline | Well mine has to be a non-Mini drive as I am waiting and only 5 weeks to go now... Best drive ever was definitely in British Columbia, travelling from Jasper to the Miette Natural Hot Spring baths in, deseterted roads winding up a mountain path with the sunsetting over the moutain tops... Now just gotta wait and see if the Mini can beat that when I take it to Europe! ![]() New HB Cooper with aero kit delivered 4th Oct.. |

Offline | Speaking as a passenger (cos that's all I ever am in Razor's MINI ) my best MINI journey was the cruise along Blackpool promenade at the end of our dealer (Lister Park, Bradford) organised run last November. The weather had been crap all day, but as almost 60 MINIs left the Pleasure Beach car park at 7pm, the rain stopped (well almost) and huge grins appeared on the faces of the Blackpool hoardes It took almost an hour to cruise the mile long promenade and was accompanied by constant horn tooting and BIG smiles. The reaction from passers by (pedestrian and vehicles) was fantastic and is what all MINI journeys (fast or slow, long or short) should be - LOADS OF FUN ![]() ![]() |
