Offline | Orange Orange Orange!!! I cannot believe Mini is not coming out with an Orange color. What are they thinking?!. Scuttlebutt is they will make an orange convertible only. Oh please! Why not give the customers what they want now! Orange would be huge. They already made an orange prototype shown at Paris auto show. Also, why not bring electric blue to the base mini as well. And get rid of cosmo black to make room for more colors. No need for two blacks, and the jet black looks MUCH better. An finally, make the yellow bolder and brighter. Like the yellow of a Chey Corvette. Everyone complaines about the pale lemon color in use now. Tom in Las Vegas, now waiting for 2005 to get a chance to get an orange mini. sigh |

Offline | I agree. Bright yellow would be nice. (but I think that the current yellow is fine in a less-vibrant-retro kinda way). Bright orange would be cool too. And to go way "over-the-top", lime green. Tom Perconti (aka SpeedRacer - Lancelot of the Information Superhighway) Personal MINI Cooper page http://www.mini2.com/gallery/personal/sracer/daisy.jpg |

Offline | Velvet Red is dead. Or as good as. It will be sadly missed, along with Silk Green I'm sure. Our trials and tribulations living in a "bleeding edge" eco house... Oxley Woods Living |

Offline | I love the yellow! I don't see that many of them so my car really stands out. I would have liked the green as well. I am just happy to have an awesome car to drive. Like I told the dealer, there is no way I would be this excited about a car if I were getting a Ford Taurus for example. ![]() |

Offline | And the Orange ought to be non-metallic (so should BRG for that matter). Totally agree about dumping metallic Black, and making the yellow more vivid. Gonna miss Velvet Red, it's a very class color. ![]() |

Offline | Not to quarrel (especially since I think the metallic green is a fine color) but I just don't think it qualifies as "British Racing Green". I know there was some variation in BRG between what MG, Triumph and Jaguar (among others) used, but none of them were metallic. And the hue, to my taste, is to bluish for BRG as well. I remember polls conducted before the MINI was released and the overwhelming favorite color was always BRG. But many people were surprised (me included) by what MINI released. Again not a bad looking color, but not one that evokes the British racing and sports car heritage I would have expected. ![]() |

| 'til death do us part | All right, then. Who's got Photoshop? I like the orange, the other half likes the green. Of course, since the other half doesn't like the MINI at all--even in the best color combo of all time (Liquid Yellow/Black)--green is a step forward. ![]() |

Offline | They even make orange toy models of the mini yet no orange production mini yet. Come on! I can't wait forever. My niece got me this toy model that I have attached here. Nice shade of orange too, just like the one shown in the Paris auto show. Sig Too Big! |

Offline | Orange Metallic will only be available in the new MINI OPEN cabriolet. there are no production plans to introduce Orange in the regular 3 door hatchback hardtop model. The MINI OPEN will be available in the US at the end of 2004 as a 2005 model and...ummm.....no $500 discounts off MSRP. Prepare yourself to pay markup over MSRP when the convertible model gets here, that is if you insist in an Orange MINI, minus the solid roof. |
