Offline | future mini owner Hi all. Just registered and thought I'd just say hi. I'm about to put in an order for either a mini one or a cooper. Cooper hopefully, but not too sure about insurance. Its a company car and the company insurance people said a cooper for my age (21) would be pushing it and I'm just waiting for them to get back to me with a price. I'm looking forward to installing an excellent entertainment system and have lots and lots of ideas which I can't wait to share with you all and get your opinions on the final result. I'm currently an MG Midget owner, but she's got to go due to the company car and the constant expense. I've had three years of fun with her but I'm getting tired now of the constant maintenance. On another note I saw a blue cooper S the other day on the M25 and the number plate was [X 13ABE] (spelling out BABE) and let me tell you, she was a babe of the highest degree. If you're reading this then... hi, nice car! well, hopefully I'll be driving around in a mini of some kind in about 5 weeks. can't bloody wait stu ![]() |

Offline | Mmmm looking at your spec I would go for the cooper... You are loading your one within an inch of the price of your specced cooper... IMHO the cooper is the cheaper buy in the long run since when it's selling time you won't get much for options (the exception being the airco) and the higher base value of the cooper will give you a better selling price. I don't know of course what your situation is regarding insurance.. because that can also throw in alot of weight ![]() Both are very nice specced mini's... black sure is a splendid colour (but hard to keep clean) ![]() Currently driving my Mini Cooper and having alot of fun! +10000 miles and counting.
