Offline | Breaking in Took delivery of my cooper last tuesday evening... I'm now at 1100 miles  (and yes I had to work, no holiday for me)...Not to bad... Realy enjoyed myself... Saturday a nice trip to the Nordschleife for some fun... Lots of twisties there so I had a blast! Sunday... Since I enjoyed the twisties saturday I went to the Ardennes for some more of it... this is just automotive crack!!  So how long did it take you to get to 1250 miles (I'll probably pass 1250 miles tomorrow). PS: I do get some slight creaks from the bottom of the A-pillar (where the plastic of the pillar touches the plastic of the dash)... should I be concerned? PPS: Still haven't found time to take pics... the weather is bad at the moment and I want it cleaned before I take pics Anyway I'm enjoying myself immensly!!! Thanks for all the support, info... this is realy a nice community! Currently driving my Mini Cooper and having alot of fun! +10000 miles and counting. Offline | Cracking!...you lucky swine...I will have to wait till Sept 6th midday before I reach the 1250 mark...but I'll just be coming off the motorway in scotland and hitting the twisties in the mountains as I finish the run in so bendy scottish roads will see a silver streak that day after i have been caged since this sat 16th Aug! Hope you have a real blast for many years..or until she goes to make room for another baby! |

Offline | Wicked!! Your engine will be nice and warm when you pass the 1250 miles mark... then some nice twisties to get the revs up, and some spectacular scenery to get you in the mood.. Offline | You'll hit the 1250 mark in no time And then the real fun starts...I'm getting addicted on the engine noise... wow... when I lift of the accelerator I get a nice bop,bop,bop sound... and in the higher revs it just screams... almost like an alfa romeo... mmmm I'm at 1245 miles ... Offline | I had the pleasure of driving someone else's MINI yesterday. A nice man here in town that owns a Sound System shop..he has a nice little red cooper w/17" tires and it's lowered 2 inches. He was kind enough to let me drive it to see the difference as he has added quite a bit to his car, extra power, louder exhaust, the best stereo system in the US!lol It was one sweet ride, and now I know where to go to get all the bells and whistles added on my baby! I drove around last night just to add miles..lol love this car! MINI is a way of life! |
