Offline | I went to my dealer yesterday. I saw a crashed Mini Cooper S with JCW tuning kits there. And people there told me the whole story. It was happened when he was chasing a Mercedes AMG C32 on highway with very high speed(above 200km/hr). Lifespan of this poor Cooper S was only two weeks with 926 km. You know, guys, we have to pay over USD 50,000 for a JCW tuned Cooper S !! Also we are glad that the driver is quite well without any hurt and waled out of his crashed JCW MCS... ![]() |

Offline | Amazing how the body shell has stood up to what looks like a severe crash. Interesting to see where the Works badge has been fixed below the Cooper S badge. I wonder what JCW will think about this. I will send them the photos. Glad to hear the driver survived. I think I will driving mine slower today !! |

Offline | The demo car at Elms of Bedford that I test drove has the Works badge in the same position. Is there some unwritten rule that it has to be placed on the opposite side of the hatch? It looks better underneath the Cooper S badge in my opinion. ![]() |

Offline | This guy just came back from the accident and ordered another new Cooper S. Not only the thermometer, the whole electronic system still work normally, (ex. Harman Kardon Hi Fi system), amazing! Customers in Taiwan don't have much chance in option his equipments. Actually, it is not a JCW complete car. We are not allowed to order a complete, we can order JCW performance kits and have that installed in our dealer. We don't have much choice in color, interior and .....Our dealer wold us oh, these are all standard equipments. You wanna option, OK, you have to wait more than half an year........heheheh Poor service is all we have in Taiwan... ![]() |

Offline | from looking at the pics, it looked like it was pretty well laid with extras. Shame the guy driving it was a complete knob. I could have had that. Ach, at least he's ok though, he'll be driving a Smart from now on. |

Offline | I am glad he is OK. What is the speed limit in Taiwan? Are the roads capable of people driving those speeds? Also, apparently he was not told about the break in period. Way too fast, and too soon. Mike 2003 MINI Cooper S Chili Red 2005 Jetta GLI |
