The Plain Scoop from BMW cost around £35-

Hi restyle - Minispares do one, cost £240 + vat...

http://new.minispares.com/NewMiniSea...s&ShowIcons=No

I think you should do the grill too - although I think you've already said you were going to soon.....

My alternative to getting the grill would be to get the all black mesh grill from the aero pack, and then getting it chromed - I think this would look awsome and would be one of a kind.... Get you thinking?

Chrome Grill does look the dogs ********!!!

But what I would like is a more retro chrome wave style grill, as on the old mark 1 original minis, someone is bound to bring one out soon.

The only problem I have is knowing which one to drive?

Not seen that before, looks more like a photoshop job?

But not what I was meaning, was thinking about the grill, rather than a straight chrome strips, a grill with wave/crinkle strips.

You can actually buy this for yr New MINI.

I'll have to search for the site again.

(My Motors Favourites has 449 entries - lol could take a bitta finding )

Real???? Wow, interesting idea for a conversion, wonder if any has been brave enough to do it?

Well if you do find it, let me know, you never know might be able to get someone to do it by posting it enough times, hahahaha.

I recall emailing Minispares about offering a Chrome Scoop last year, but they didnt do one at the time, ... & didnt update me about New Products Apparently

Ive been asked to keep quiet about this as mine was sort of a Prototype Experiment for this Process & as such, any cost I might have paid would be an Unrealistic Figure for Subsequent Work.
I`m sure that when the People Concerned are ready & geared up to do further work, it will be announced here First.

It is a coating for steel that prevents the steel from rusting.

You get it often on bolts and hinges etc. also used to be used a lot for car 'fasteners' (nuts&bolts) - but as I said, it's a golden yellow colour - sorry for being technical

I was hoping for that too - the classic people do enough Austin type ripply grilles for the Mini - it cant be long.
