IMHO - I think it is nice, at least the birdies will be able to see if their feathers look okay before being swallowed (he he, get it, swallow-ed!)

Not sure, think might be better in the flesh, but have seen them on some of the accessory sites.

Are you going to do a chrome grill now? As that is what I am thinking about putting on mine to lighten the front up, as they are now available to order.

Its only a forum you know!

Lookin' good. But definitely not the first. There're a few guy's in good 'ol Germany that already have 'em. I played with the idea myself but..................OMG (the cost). I also thought about spraying with the aftermarket paint but................OMG(looks good until the heat turns it gold).
Nevertheless.............lookin' good

Looks OKish - think it'll grow on me.

It does match the scoop up nicely with the headlight chrome though.

I also think the chrome grill would finish it out nicely.

Can you elaborate: purchased from where, price (US), and the installation process or cost for labor (if any)?

I am interested in a chrome scoop for my Pepper White MCS.

Thanks.

I bought a Chrome Top Grill from BigDave on here last week, it should be arriving any day now. Is there a FAQ on how to fit it?

Im still thinking about the mirror caps, as they fit Over the Originals is`nt there the danger they might pop off ?

Thanks Monsta, If you say its Nice, then its Staying !

You may as well have asked the Pope if Catholicism is a good religion.

Martin if you buy the official BMW ones they don't fit over the originals, they actually replace them - i.e. remove the white ones and replace them with the chrome ones.

Be careful when doing the job though, use the instructions given on MINI2 rather than those from the dealer.

Old School Jonnie managed to break his mirror using the instructions his dealer gave him and the dealers managed to break another two when they tried to replace the broken one!

Another advantage of buying the real items - you could then sell your white ones!

Don't ask me - I've got no idea of taste, style or correct colour choice. Ask the Northern folk.

Hmmm - not sure - but would have to say 60:40 in favour of positive.

There's someone in Hamburg with the Chrome Scoop with a DS/B car - he followed me for about 30 miles going somewhere, and I just looked at it im the mirror all the time trying to decide if I liked it or not - especially as I have the same colour car.

It looks ok, but I wouldn' t go for it. He also too the cheap option of getting it painted Chrome, but yes, as was posted earlier, the colour faded to a golden yellow (like a Zinc passivate). He was getting it done again with a different process that should last longer - still cheaper than real chrome - so there are alternatives, if you really want it...
