Immobiliser - Thatcham?

Just got my insurance policy and it states for security
" Unapproved Manf Standard fit Immobiliser"

Now I'm sure I read somewhere in the borchure that the standard Mini Cooper immobiliser is Thatham CAT 2 approved but cant find it in the now.
Can someone confirm/deny?
Thanks
Dave

PS Im assuming that a CAT2 might reduce my premium...

The MINI Immobiliser is CAT2 Approved.

It's unlikely that a standard fit immobiliser will reduce your premium, nor will fitting a CAT 1 Alarm. Some Insurers do give small discounts. Theft forms a very minor part of insurance premiums - most of the premium is allocated to accident damage and personal injury.

Indeed this proved to be the case. Which begs the question as to why they ask about it in the first place if it has no bearing on the premium.
OK well.
