Offline | Get away......there may be more of then on the road today BUT each one is unique. Going back on topic - I was on my way to buy a Lupo GTi when I happened to pass a BMW Dealership days after the Mini's launch. I took a One for a test drive and I instantly knew I had to have one. ![]() Global Moderator ![]() |

| Awwww %%%% it! | It's sad really, on two occasions now on the way home I've passed a lady coming in the opposite direction , first time she was in an all black JCW MCS and second time in a red/white cooper Italian Job stylee, but despite my friendly waves she just drove by without waving back ![]() |

Offline | Isn't he... One minute it's the best thing since sliced bread and the next it's common. ![]() He's come to the wrong forum to preach that. ![]() Have you driven your new Cooper yet? I've been given a brand new One to use whilst my car gets little niggles sorted. I tell ya what, it's a pretty solid car, and it’s worlds apart from my first Mini. It has the 3 spoke steering - I like it. Still prefer mine though in MFSW form.![]() Global Moderator ![]() |

Offline | I think the MINI will go the way of the Miata (MX-5) - A reinvented classic that many will buy, and a few will purchase and stick in a garage somewhere. The used prices will drop to reasonable in a year or so, as they didn't mass produce on the same level as the Beetle. Don't have the numbers on them, but I still see lots of new Beetles around. |

Offline | Was this one of Aiden's first threads long before he ordered his S? I think the last 4 years have shown its no beetle - but it shouldn't be. The bug is just a golf in a pretty frock - I'd buy a Golf GTI long before a bettle - in fact I nearly did, but it really wasn't the car that the MCS is. In the states at least the MINI is a unique car (very small for here with good build quality and unique design) that will continue to fill a nitch market. The Chrysler folks are trying to get that "cool retro look" thing going, but the new PT pickup (whatever it is called) along with the cruser and prowler just look ugly to me - they aren't a well thought-out vehicle with a nice shape - they are a car made to look wierd as an afterthought. |

Offline | It's been an exceptional week TBH. I've covered over 400 miles. It'd usually take me about 3 weeks to do that normally ![]() The cost is not that much more then my MINI. The range is similar at about 250 miles and my MINI was around £36-£37 a tank, the roxy is £40-41 ![]() Oil costs are neglagible as at £6 a litre which is needed about every 2000 miles it's not that more expensive. I've already done the maths and the Roxy will cost me about £10 a month more. Looking at the raw mpg figures it's scary ![]() I guess that's why they don't fit a MPG computer onboard ![]() MINI, RX8 and MX5 - Done those.............
