Offline | Musical Instruments Hi all! First time poster...long time reader! Haha. Our family ordered the MCS and are anxiously awaiting its arrival in December. I am the son, and likewise, I play the drums. I was wondering if any type of musical instrument could fit comfortably (not a piano of course!). I think that most instruments would fit easily with the seats folded down, but how about drums? Anyone know? When we were test driving, it seemed like a smallish kit could fit well. Anywho, thanks for the info and your time! Ogo the Pogo |

Offline | Welcome to the site. A set of quads from a marching band would fit ![]() I don't play drums but I used to play in a band and I've packed up drums A LOT. After the bass and some cymbals you might get a snare and a small tom in, plus your sticks. And I'm not too sure about that bass. Bet someone here's done it though. Guitar fits fine My Marshall half stack won't though |

Offline | Thanks Mr. Behave! My set isn't very big, so it should be okayish...and I doubt the parental units would even let me transport my drums in the MCS! haha. that sucks about your half-stack! Perhaps the roof? LOL! Ogo the Pogo |

Offline | I fit my tuba in once or twice. With the seats folded down of course. Since the space is relatively square, its just a matter of length and height issues, It'd depend on the length of things. Most drum kits I've seen aren't very long, just bulky, so you'd be fine, but it'd probably involve some packing, and be careful to not scratch anything. Magic 8-ball was correct. All be in awe of Magic 8 ball. |

Offline | Ringo Star used to carry his drums about in an original mini, albeit with some mods so you should have absolutely no probs, Lets hope you can play them better than he could, rock on! Cometh the Hour, Cometh the MINI |

Offline | What was it John said when asked about Ringo's drumming, "He's (ringo) not the best drummer in the world, in fact he's not even the best drummer in the band!" lol Cometh the Hour, Cometh the MINI |

Offline | Couldn't get the quads or quints to fit with the boot lid shut. We just tied the boot lid down for the short distance we had to go. The bass drum the daughter played last year in marching band fit with room to spare. A whole drum kit ... I dont think so. Might need to play some bongos on the road. ![]() |

| 12th Floor Cube Dweller | Well, I got three violins, a practice amp for the electric one and my luggage in for my trip to California. Back seats down, of course. You just need to learn a smaller instrument. ![]() Visit the Pool Cleaners from Distant Planets Izzy is an '03 MCS, with PP, CWP. It's BRG on BRG. I know, BFD. |
