Nothing say grip like......

Watching a Saab spin out on a wet roundabout in your rear view mirror.

Some reasonably heavy rain here in Canberra and my MINI was sticking to the road like the little wonder it is. I had passed a Saab who then appeared to speed up to try to catch up (mind you I was within the posted speed limit of 80 kph), I went through a roundabout at a stable speed and watched the Saab playing catchup travel in a different direction that he was intending. He stayed on the road with no harm done.

Gotta love DSC and those fat little grippy tyres

Similar thing happened to me last week, somebody behind me obviously saw me and thought he would try to catch up, lost it round the corner with horrible consequences. Im starting to get fed up with boy racers thinking that because I drive a Mini Cooper I want to race them, girlfriend finds the samething! The last time I had a fairly quick high profile car I sold it for that very reason.

I find most people in SUVs feel they have to overtake the MINI, presumably because it is relatively small.............but you have to laugh when they get into the twisties after you..............

Yeah, loads of fun watching cars in your rearview, especially in the wet.
BTW, I'm still on my runflats and I go round corners plenty fast thank you. Remember, plenty of testers have posted incredibly high slalom speeds on those tires...

I get the same thing with people trying to catch up or pass, most probably just wanna drool a little:-) But the big trucks pass with their V-8's and seem shocked when 5 seconds later I'm blowing past them like they are standing still...lol I am tired of the little racer boys also, I really did not buy this car to race in, especially in heavy traffic like these morons would like to do..so I just drop the sunroof back and cruise with my HK up good and loud..lol

MINI is a way of life!

Can't help feeling I'm not really meant to be in MINI2 sometimes as our other car is a X5!

Yay!

Actually as good as the X5 is if we could manage with zero load capacity I'd deffo have two MINIs.
(I'm secretly working on getting another MCS as car 3!)
