New DIY:How to show RPM, Fuel Levels, Speed and more on your Odometer Digital Display

This is in interior and ice now anyway, but I think it might be interesting to more than just the usual in car entertainment and vehicle trim buffs, so here's a link to a new FAQ/DIY item...

http://www.mini2.com/forum/faq.php?f..._obc_functions

Thanks to all those who tested it, and our german translator minimarkcs for his help too!

Enjoy.

Odometer, mileometer, all the same to me.

Not sure what other EU countries call it, seeing as most of them use K/Ms. Maybe kilometermeter?

In Germany it's known as a 'Kilometerzähler' (Kilometer counter)
Very practical

@paul, I haven't worked out how to change from KM's to Miles and am pretty sure that it can't be done. Would have thought that it would be a Menu option, though. I would be interested to be able to show the speed in MPH for trips to the UK as European Speedo's only show KPH. Yeah I know that 50mph is 80kph ect. but it would be a nice option.

@all. If you find a Diagnostic fault in Menu 14.0, don't panic ! It could be something or nothing. Make your dealer aware of the problem and he can decipher the code with his clever book. All faults are laid down in this Menu so it can range from Mirror heaters not working to Imminent engine failure. In the worst case scenario it will switch to the EML programm to get you to the dealer. Also, your dealer will most probably not tell you what problem exist's over the 'phone. He will ask you to bring the car in to be checked out.

Passengers ride at own risk !
