Offline | Can't believe they took MINE! Yeah, they're gone. I have pinned down the timeframe and it could only have been in a shopping mall parking lot. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!! I spoke to my sister who has a 325xi and hers got stolen after one week, too. My original caps have been put back on and I'll be shopping for some locking caps soon. PS/B MCS, bonnet stripes, everything but the satnav, 17" S-Lites |

| MINI2 Master | after reading this thread the other day, I glanced down at my wheels today when getting into the car and they've GONE! I suspect the kids have discovered that all new minis have these... well not mine! They're being replaced with black plastic ones. I don't want to attract any extra attention to the car or they may do something worse to it... |

| MINI2 Regular | Know how you guys feel, second day I had my MINI and two of the MINI logo stem caps were stolen. Couple of days later, and my generic stem caps were stolen, and my car's antenna ball (it was a cherry, it was really cute). So now I don't put anything on my car, and I bought another pair of MINI logo stem caps only for show. The guy in the parts department gave me a discount on them - how nice. ![]() |

| 220 of your finest horses | Gone in 60 seconds Had mine whipped on Christmas day (second set!) I reckon that Mini caps are a new form of currency for the under developed. Reminds me, a mate of mine used to loose his VW badge from his classic beetle quite often (Beastie Boys and all that). So, being a farming lad, he mounted his badge on rubber and wired it up to a shock generator from an electric fence. He went to his car one night (in Newcastle) and found the badge still in place, but all of his windows put through, so it worked, just not well enough! ![]() ![]() |

| MINI2 Global Moderator | Got them from the parts dept at John Cooper Garages in Ferring, Sussex. However, the ones on their website aren't shown as being locking ones so I'm not sure if they do them like that anymore. Give them a call, I'm sure they'd be glad to help out ![]() http://cairns.mistral.co.uk/cgi-bin/...rts_mcc488.htm the MINI has gone... |

Offline | Sadly JCWs garage dont stock the locking valve caps anymore and that was in August 2002 ,but if you get the normal JCWs valve caps when you screwed them on as tight as you can with your fingers I then used a pair of pliers just to tighten them a fraction more . They've been on since August and I have'nt had to replace any. dinger ![]() |

Offline | I had tightened the crap out of mine with pliers, and they still got them within 2 weeks after I got the car. And I even know where they were taken, and it was a high-visibility area. Since then, I've put on Spin-Caps, and they've been on there since. www.spin-caps.com 2002 MCS, DS/B/BBS, Sport, Prem, Cloth, 17's 1969 Morris Cooper MK2, Tartan Red/Black, 998cc, Twin HS2's |
