Offline | Just had two nicked last week. Too bad I had already voted "no" a while back. This is the first time in 28 years of car ownership that I've had valve caps stolen. Missing my buddies Dan and Ed but glad I have two angel buddies , And on a quest to Right Secco's Wrongs |

Offline | 17p for Christ sake! can't the little buggers cycle down to the nearest BMW dealer and buy one? What's 17p? You can't even buy a packet of crisps for 17p! Oh, and another thing. If you have to replace a tyre, make sure they put the metal caps back on. |

Offline | Well even though its an old post I thought I would add the theft of my dust caps to Mini2. Some kid (14 ish) nicked them off the drive of my in-laws on Saturday morning. Apparently it's the latest craze. Kids eh! At least the badge was left alone. |

Offline | Sorry arabinow, but we're not immune in Canada. On Christmas Eve one of my new winter tire hubcaps disappeared. A novel Christmas gift for someone I guess. This happened in an out-of-the-way residential area in Ottawa. |

Offline | Why can't the little *****s just put a brick through the window? It is much quicker, only costs 50 quid to put right, and doesn't affect your no-claims bonus (not when you claim a stone from a passing truck hit it, anyway!). Attacking the locks always costs around a grand, and makes a mess of your NCB. As for the valve caps, mark them with a mark, find the BMX with them on, and trash it! Then leave a note saying what happens when someone nicks your valve-caps. Please don't - you'll end up in big trouble. Shame, 'cos it might make them think twice before doing the same again. Mini Cooper. (Arrived 27/09/02 at 15:00) Red, White Roof. Chilli Pack. 17" S-Spokes. Climate Control. Heated Mirrors/Washer Jets. Trip Computer |

Offline | when I was in high school here in Seattle, someone broke into my car. I looked and looked, and couldn't see anything taken. So I took off. A few days later, I went to throw a piece of trash into my litter bag... it wasn't there. The *******s stole my garbage! I used an old Tower Records bag as a garbage, and I guess they thought it was full of CDs or something. So I guess you're right; they really will steal anything... even your rubbish, if you're not careful. |

Offline | I am worried about this situation also. I am thinking of getting some valve caps which are anti theft ones, then you are not liable to worry about them being stolen or getting a flat, as someone has let the air out. I have found these at motor mania : http://www.motormania.co.uk/product_...?intDescID=540 |
