Offline | I am by no means one of the rich types out here. I went for the 3 packages we are offered over here which boosted the price by $3000. This is on top of the $3000 premium the S costs over the Cooper. I expect to pay approx $23,000 out the door in May. Quite a bit but not as much as my wife paid for her GMC pick-up. Of course her truck is twice as long, twice as high, twice as heavy,.... Oh, well Mike ![]() Semper Fi Electric Blue/wht roof/Sport package built 3-29 delivered 17 May 02 |

Offline | bit of a titanium man then . . . OK! Paul as you`re the "boss" I take it this is compulsory. ![]() Here`s mine . . . Cooper S in dark silver - including dark silver roof and mirrors. 17" titanium look Minilite style wheels. Oxblood/charcoal leather Recaro sports seats with dulled titanium finish dash and door trims. All other interior trim charcoal leather. Anodised titanium-look alloy fuel filler cap similar style to Lotus Elise. Xenon lights - aircon - CD - some kind of "Works" stainless steel exhaust system with slightly bigger single central outlet. Oh! Yeah! and lowered by 10mm! That`s all really - wouldn`t want to add too much weight. |

Offline | Oh go on then...! Cooper S with anthracite carbon fibre body & roof a la BMW M3 CSL, with bonnet sans scoop, DSC & 17" R90 cross-spoke wheels Full leather Recaros in a nice anthracite colour Carbon fibre detailing...dash, door panels, etc. Throw in a HK ICE for the quieter moments Not bothered about much else 0-100kmh? Should be around 6.5secs in my guesstimation, if M3 upgrade is anything to go by Delivery around, er, now would be nice Paul |

Offline | Money no object huh!. Start of with a base Cooper + all internal factory options except sports seat. These would have to be cloth recaro's. Modify shell to accept AWD system & brakes from Subaru WRC Sti. Remove 1.6 litre lawnmower engine. Add 2.0 Litre flat four turbocharged boxer from Subaru WRC Sti, which has intercooler above and to the rear. (Sure I could make it fit with no financial contraints). Or twin turbo from B4. Modify rear of bonnet with scoop for intercooler (where it should have been in the first place). Add 6 speed sequential manual gearbox. Remove ALL suspension components (struts and coils) and replace with koni adjustables. 18" BBS or similar split rims. Could go the whole hog and put the engine behind the front seats - Mid Engined AWD MINI..... Hmmm....make that stage II. How does that sound ? ![]() Last edited by Basil : Feb 12th, 2002 at 05:51 AM. |

Offline | Money No Object? Well I'd get BMW to redesign the rear axle to make it RWD, and stick a 2 litre turbo's engine....in fact scrap that! I'd make BMW do a mid engined version, somewhat like the Clio V6! Now that would be top! Being Serious Probably Buy a Ferrari and have a Cooper S for about town! ![]() |

| MINI2 Master BLASTER!!!!! | If I had millions, I would probably buy a couple of MINI ones, MINI Coopers, and Cooper S I'd have German formula stick their 600BHP Stage 3 Turbo kit into one on my Coopers, this coop would me my monster coop, it will be just sheer power thats all, all unnesary stuff will taken out of it to lower the wieght, but essentials like radio and stuff would be kept in it, I think this car will beat most other cars on the road, anyone disagree? ![]() The Other Cooper would my mess around Coop, one of My Cooper Ss would be my ICE mobile, ie no rear seats what have you, the other S would be fully kitted out with everthing plus the body kit, this would be my "I've got Money CAR" And the Mini ONEs I would use to experiment and design new stuff for, might get one converted into a pickup, have turbo installed so it can pull heavy loads, and I'd have one retuned, and have the drivetrain alterted in order to make it a 4WD car, use if for rallying maybe???? Any ideas anyonebody else? |
