Picked-up my new Mini 10 days ago... Yippee!

Noticed on page 66 of the owner's manual that a signal tone can be set to confirm the activation of the PDC. While the PDC works perfectly, I have no tone affirming its activation - that is, until I am backing-up close to something.

I have asked my dealer about this, who, in turn, has made inquiries of both their mechanics & Mini - reportedly, nobody has heard of such a programmable feature.

Am I misreading the manual? Is the manual mistaken? Does anyone have such a feature programmed on their PDC equipped Mini?

Yes I have that programmed in my Feb 03 MCS. When you select reverse a short beep is heard to let you know that PDC is active. It was programmed by my dealer.
