hello & welcome. check the 'technical' drop down menu for mpg's of the various models & loads of spec details.

yes the cooper s gets a 6 speed box & twin exhausts, plus in a nutshell:
a supercharger
163 bhp (cooper 115)
exclusive colours
more goodies

My cooper is doing about 36 mpg combined

I have heard reports of S's doing 28 ish to the gallon and ones are more like 35s again+

BMW figures are meant to be ONE D combined 50+ or something
ONE 43mpg combined or something like and Cooper 42 combined..some cars get less some more its all a bit ******** on BMWs part, they rekon 48 mpg on motorways or something in Cooper but I still get only around the 35-36 mirk!

hope this helps

The wife is getting 34/35 mpg (US) in her CVT. Started around 31 but has been steadily rising. She is notoriously thrifty in the way she drives.

Hers: '02 LY/white, CVT ...... His: '04 BRG/white
