MINI2

I'm looking to get a gift for someone who also owns a Mini, I'm looking to spend about £20 and want something nice for the house. My current thoughts are some kind of ornamental glass or metal model of the car.
Can anyone tell me where I can get this kind of stuff from and does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

Bugger something for the house! lol. Go to NEXT and get them a radio controlled MINI Cooper for £19.99 in silver or red. Much more fun. Better still get two and race them!

It is actually a wedding present, we are going to the evening do. Any more suggestions, probably more in line with the original brief.

I'll tell you what would be really cool. Don't know if they have these in your area, but in Las Vegas they have a service that creates 3D engraved crystals. They take an object, in this case could be a MINI cooper die cast, and 3D digitize it. Would be cool if you're friends MINI had some distinctive feature that you could replicate in the die cast model.

After they build this 3D model, they run it through this laser that shoots the inside of a block of crystal that carves out a 3D hollow inside the cube.

So what you get is a nice looking crystal cube with a void inside shaped as the 3D model--in this case would be their MINI Cooper and some words of congratulations.

I did a quick search on Yahoo, and these prices are a high, but maybe you can use this to find something near you.

I think the price will be an issue though. Does anyone know where I can get a glass or metal model ?

Of course, you could always just buy the ones that MINIUSA sells. Don't know if they sell them in the UK as well, but they sell fully detailed die cast cars.
