Does anyone know if there is any chance of getting any discount from a dealer on a new MCS in the Uk especialy in the north

No harm in asking - what yer don't ask for, yer don't get.

If you're speccing a high spec S then you may be able to get an option thrown in.

Anyone who doesn't get TLC free is a mug.

As far as I know, no. I a couple of things thrown in when I ordered, and a gratuity off the price, but nothing to write home about. Maybe an internet car broker or an import, but I don't think there's any chance from a UK dealer.

I could of got the TLC package thrown in for free but opted for the MC spoiler instead.

You wont get any discount off the basic list price but as had been said you may get a dealer fit option thrown in if you ask nicely - if you're in the North try Derek Woodmans in Blackpool, they offer a great service. Ask for Darren Whiteside on 01253 765500

John... not really !... maybe TLC as people are saying but I wouldnt fancy your chances otherwise.... one thing I would check is delivery times (as I mentioned before !

I have heard that a certain Mini dealer in our area deliberatley holds slots back for people replacing a Mini with anther Mini, pushing new buyers out longer than most other dealers. when they quoted me 6 months, a week after I ordered and paid my £500 I found out that Fawdingtons waiting list was only 8 weeks !!!!....

I was quoted Xmas a couple of days age at a certain garage which is not to bad but i was thinking of waiting until march. One reason is to miss the worst of the winter and the another is to get hte new reg. It will not be easy but I think I can wait. I wonder what new options will be around then that we haven't heard about

Just ordered a new MCS last night and got TLC and rubber mats thrown in for nothing with mud flaps fitted at cost. The Chilli pack price is £130 more from Jan and I got that knocked down to £100 so that all saved a few pounds, now the wait begins

Congrats John !!.... so now the question is how many times will you change your options/spec before delivery !!!

.... I changed colour once, and added a few options.... when is your delivery date ? March 1 ?.

At the monment I have nothing in mind to change but as you say, who knows. I should get the car on Monday 1st March, its a long time to wait isn't it.

I managed to get a discount and also a quicker build slot than the quoted 7 months. They wheren't very keen on the discount though and it wasn't that brilliant but better than most.

5 months... it'll pass quickly.... I started of with a virtually bottom spec DS/B S.... and it turned into a Chilli Pack EB/W S !!... with a couple of little additions along the way !... i've started saving for a Hartge upgrade !!!

I didnt get any discount, my MCS is due 13th Dec and that seems a long time to wait, but March is a lifetime away.

Knights of Newcastle Under Lyme have a number of physical cars (MCS's) in stock, they were offering me 3% off for starters with more if I push them for it
