USSCA Invitational at Laguna Seca

I participated in the noon track Mini Mania fun run at Laguna Seca on Sunday, October 5. I must say it was an absolute blast to get out on the track. I hear they will repeat this opportunity in November. It is a must do. I also had a wonderful time meeting all the owners of the hundreds of new and classic minis that took part. Here are a few photos.

A friend taped the event (for the web site endorphin.com which specializes in web videos) and I will let every one know when the web movies are up and ready to be viewed.

I heard the race prepped Minis out ran the stock MINIs, true?

Actually, there were only 9 Minis that took part in the Mini Challenge race. As I recall, the finish was 1. New Mini S (race); 2. New Mini S (stock) 3. Classic Mini S (race) 4. Classic Mini (race) 5. Classic Mini S (race) 6. New Mini (race) 7. Classic Mini (race) 8. New Mini (stock) 9. Classic Mini (race - did not finish - lost left rear wheel and fender)
