| MINI2 Newbie | michigan mini dealer I e-mailed Mini about Bavarian Auto Village (Motor City Mini) Their projected opening is waaay behind all the other dealers. I basically asked if they could even deliver cars before then. I'm with MINI Division in the United States. I'm very sorry for your disappointment in regards to the delayed opening of your MINI dealer. On behalf of MINI Division, please accept my deepest apologies. Unfortunately, local factors have caused a delay in the construction of your MINI dealer. This delay was unforeseen, and is beyond the control of your dealer. MINI is a separate car division with a separate franchise from BMW. I hope you can understand why we cannot deliver MINIs through a BMW dealer. The MINI has unique service tools, service training, and product philosophy. Without a dedicated facility, our customers would have no place to repair their MINIs if needed. There is a need for dedicated space to prepare, deliver, and service hundreds of MINIs every year. Something that the current capacity of any dealer would be overwhelmed by. Again, please accept my sincerest apologies. We look forward to providing the best possible service to all our customers when our dealers open. We hope that the MINI you may acquire will provide you with years of motoring enjoyment. Emily MINI Division Customer Relations Bummer.. Anyway, whats funny is my e-mail wasn't an unhappy one. I just asked the question and left it at that. They responded with this huge apology. I wonder if there is a lot of mad people wondering when their gonna get their mini (I want mine, but i'm not mad) -Zachie Dk Silver W/White Prem Package a work in progress... |

Offline | Re: michigan mini dealer I don't know if you've been told the reason for the delayed opening of this dealer, but I heard through the grapevine that it is related to local zoning laws. And I also heard many people in the Detroit area are very upset about the wait - so perhaps that's why the response was so apologetic. + 2002 MINI Cooper S - Dark Silver / White roof, Sport, Premium, Lapis blue leather + 1965 Mini Traveller - Tartan Red / White roof, 1275, Cooper S discs, fully restored/renewed |
