Mother in Law wins MCS........The End

Just found out the mother in law has won a Mini Cooper S.................
....................naturally I am offering my expertise relating to all things MINI.
Just curious does anybody know of any 60 year old ladies driving a MCS.
Surely my MINI ONE would be a more suitable vehicle.

Maybe you should ask your mother in law to switch.

Or maybe when she isn't looking just swap MINI's with her, maybe she won't notice!

Ask her to trade.... tell her her child (your spouse) and her grandchildren (or future grandchildren) would be safer in the S .... That way you can guilt her into swapping.... If she refuses, you just need to bring up the family safety issues regularly and her guilt will do the rest.....

Trust not the heart of a man for whom old clothes, and the Mini, are not venerable!

Say that you have heard the MCS is extemely unreliable compared to the standard ONE and the Cooper due to its supercharger - offer to take her out in the car to get her used to it and frighten the hell out of her - she will then say 'OH I CANT DRIVE THIS! SELL IT ON MY BEHALF! I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT CARS! OHHHH', so you say youve always been a fan of the Cooper S and offer her your car and say £200 - she will probably accept if she is a typical mother-in-law

There is nothing wrong with 60 year old ladies, did I imply there was?
Just interested to know if there was any driving MCS, fair play to any that are.

From what I can gather and this is strictly secondhand information is that she won it in a competition in Jersey which she entered back in the summer.
What she has been told is it is a Blue with white roof and is called a mini cooper sport, it is a group 5 insurance and they have offered 5K as a cash alternative,

Could we be talking about Rover Mini?

yes thats one of the Classic Mini's for sure! - its the 1.3 Rover Mini Cooper with sports pack - they have wider arches, 4 spot lamps and are beautiful little cars IMO. Thats definitely group 5/6 insurance and is around £5-7k - if i were her though I would get the car and sell it on because there is a real cult following of the old car as we all know
