Cautionary tale, watch those country 'lanes'....

Had to pop into my dealer today, and while chatting he said to be careful with my 'S'. I wondered what he was talking about, but then he said when they got my old 'S' up on the ramps they found a hole in the cat and gravel scratches where it had bottomed out!

Now, those who've seen me drive 'spirited but inside the law' on some of my local lanes might not be surprised, but when you consider the cat could cost a few hundred quid, and a hole in one would fail your MOT in a few years, I think I'll try to be a tad more careful! Bit worried as I've already had a couple of underside scrapes in the new one with the 'softer' suspension!

I think I saw you driving like that once - but only for a few seconds before you were out of sight

I might need to check mine as well, I've definitely heard it bang the bottom a few times, mostly when I was attached to Anand's backside.....err...that might not have come out right...

That new softer suspension is definitely not right for those that preferred the old setup . Martin and I had a good chat about it at the Darkness pre-run. The car just seems to float/wallow in the corners which the old one never used to do. We both grounded our 53 S's in an area on the Chilterns Run which our previous S's didn't ground on.

Good news is there's plenty more in the area after the MK Run and The Darkness Run to fulfil the needs of next years MK Run....

On The Darkness Run you're never more than about 7 miles from Milton Keynes. Who'd have thought it hey?

And I was thinking of putting the Schnitzer lowering kit on mine
I wondered why my dealer was so keen to tell me that their demo car grounded easily

There was nothing wrong with the Cotswods run. I did the whole thing in me M3 Although Sandra did mention something about divorce at one point

If our crappy IT department don't sort out my laptop quick there will be trouble I am fed up with having to edit posts

What about a skid plate? I had one installed because I live on a gravel road. Are you talking about that kind of damage?
