Saw an Electric Blue Cooper!!! with white roof

Driving along M25 anti-clockwise and it was sat in the fast lane of the clockwise carriagway in traffic!

I heard rumours of EB going to Coopers but was told it wasn't true....I was going to think of postponing my 03 build for an 04 if it meant EB being available....arrrghhhh!

And before anyone says it, Yes it definatly was a cooper and not an S....no bonnet vent and a silver/chrome grille not body coloured, normal rear spoiler not S type.

Is EB now available on Cooper? or is this someone with cash to burn who has had a respray already.

MINI UK have officially denied it will be available on the Cooper/One in the UK, although it's already an option in many markets.

I have seen an EB cooper with EB roof round Oxford a couple of weeks ago.

I think the EB colour might become available in the UK across the range, once the new blue comes out next summer.
I can't understand why only selected countries get EB across the range at the moment and we in the Uk don't. All I can think is the mini is selling so well in the UK that they don't need to boost sales by giving us extra colour choices.

I posted earlier about seeing a standard Cooper with US side markers on it. These sightings must be of test cars or something.

There is at least one (probably more) photo of an Electric Blue Cooper on MINI2 in the forums, I'm trying to find it, but there's so many E/B EB, or Electric Blue discussions my searches are turning up so many results, it might take some time!
