United-Kingdom white rear lights..........anyone been pulled

Getting DS/B MCS early Dec. Wanted the white rear lights, but the dealer wouldnt sell them, due to legality problems.
I have found in a thread here on MINI2 that it is possible top buy them elsewhere.
Befor I do this, has anyone been pulled for having the white lights on their MINI as I can see where the legal problem is regarding no reflectors.
And I dont want to put the reflectors on the rear bumper.
So, have you been pulled by the police?

Dark Silver/Black MCS (Carlisle) - Now Stopped Drooling..............Now sitting in Lloyds MINI very cherished dept!!

Minnie Mouse is all that is left.......

I've got white lights. I also fitted tiny tiny reflectors to the bumper so cover myself legally - no attention from the filth yet...

Sure...

Pics attached.

I bought these self adhesive reflectors from Halfords, about five pounds IIRC.

But seriously -Jolly hockysticks! a very good solution which I would strongly advise others to consider doing - they BOTH look much better than those gastly things Mini produce.

Thanks for all the replies, I`ll get down to halfords and make my purchase.
By the way, are they stick on or did you get halfords to fit them........!!!!
Silly me, the head technician at Halfords hasnt been on his 'putting sticky things on cars' course yet.
Good ideas with the reflectors though, better than MINIs own which look like they were made for a 7 series.
Just to get the white lights now, oh and of course the S.....
SANTAS ON HIS WAY...........he he!!

I fitted them myself... On a vaguely serious note... I took time to clean/degrease the areas where I was going to stick the reflectors. Doing that, and then ensuring the area is completely dry means the sticky tape will get a good adhesion.

I mean, I can see it happening; that one will fall off and before I notice, I'll get a pull from the old bill...

Just found out that PLMinis of Rotherham are out of stock of the rear white lamps and are not getting any more in stock, as they are genuine BMW ones, and they won`t sell them anymore.
Anyone know of anywhere else to get them.
By the way RVW, you dont need reflectors by the look of your pic, the number plates doing the job just fine!!!

My dealer told me that you can't get the lights that are on this thread anymore - the new ones will be red with ONLY the indicator in white to get round the reflector issue.

Apparently some Northern police lot where not happy about them, hence the redesign

Gone - IB/W Cooper, bonnet stripes, white indicators, Chili
Now - EB/W S, stripes, Chili, climate, R90's :-)
