a giant suv rear ended another suv and then it hit me in the back. the tail gate wont close well now and u have to slam it a few times to shut it and the bumper is all bent up. my car is about 5 weeks old now. i am so mad i hate this so much i dont know what to do. why was i caught up in this i was just waiting to turn. stupid surburbans and expolers!! the person that rear ended first didnt even seem to care that they started it. they dont seem to realise that they were the cause of it all.

Oh no! So sorry to hear of your accident! Grand Rapids has the WORST drivers, doesn't it? Try to stay calm - the guy who started the whole thing should be paying for all repairs thru his insurance. I know it hurts for your car to be hit like that, but YOU are o.k., right?

The police were called, right? They'll determine who was at fault and your insurance company will handle the rest.

You have my sympathies for sure!

I'm really starting to think people have to pass a test proving that they are an inconsiderate jerk before they can purchase their beloved mamoth SUV!

I hope evrything works out fine for you & your new baby!

The same thing happened to me a couple of months ago! I wasn't even in the car at the time but a moving truck sideswiped me and in the process damaged 2 other cars too! The crazy part is that he missed my friend's MINI that was parked directly in front of me. That little incident rendered my MINI undriveable. I had to get it towed back down from Canada. Insurance took care of everything for me and it will for you too. Just do yourself a favor and find a good body shop that'll do a good job for you. Hopefully you don't have any frame damage.

I can't even imagine how distraught I would be if anyone so much as scratched mine

thanks guys i am fine physically but not so happy. the police got a report and all so its up the the insurance people to slug it out. michigan has no fault insurance though so i think that means my insurance pays but i dont get a penalty or something like that. not much i can do about it so i just have to take it. sh*t happens huh
