I see you bought your MCS from Knauz MINI; who was your MA?
I have an MCS on order with Erik scheduled to arrive in two or three weeks. I know this has nothing to do with your question, but how long did it take the car to arrive at the dealer after arriving at the VPC?
Yep. I've had my MINI for three weeks and I think I've heard about a dozen references to "The Italian Job". Today I was at my dry-cleaner. He didn't mention the movie by name, as he helped me carry my clothes to the car, but he did comment:
"That's one of those cars in the movies. The ones that they've been doing stunts. Jumping over things and all."
I just smile like that's the most original comment I've heard and reply,
"Yep. And it's as much fun to drive as it looks like it is."
My MINI is on its way however, EVERYONE knows I'm highly finactical and for months after the movie friends and familly asked "Did you see the movie The Itailan Job?"
I gave them this crazy look and then they would say " I guess so". Same thing after the DVD came out.
The thing I find myself doing is that if I find out someone I know has not seen it or they ask "what kind of car is it?" or "what does it look like?" or "A what?" I take a step back and think where have you been? How could you not know what a MINI is? Poor sheltered Indavidual.

I dealt primarily with David, and Erik helped me when David was unavailable at Knauz. Good guys.
It took about 10 days to arrive from the VPC to Lake Bluff, IL. But, I was out of town on vacation, so I did not pick it up for another 10 days. Knauz took care of her for me until I was able to get back.
other than the Italian Job comments here are the 3 mosted common comments/ questions I hear.....
1. "wow, it's got more room inside than I thought....."
2. " what's that in the center..... is it the spedometer?"
3. " wow, your car looks like a smurf!" (ugh-- I HATE THIS ONE! )
