Black Cooper Annoyed

Some old man in a Rover who doesnt know how wide his car is smashed my wing mirror glass. He even reckons his gonna have me done for "dangerous driving" for going too fast (I was slowing down doing almost 5mph - he was doing 20+). Two words come to mind, ******* Twit!

Thats got that off my chest.

Exactly the same two words came to mind before I'd even got to the end of reading your post !

For a lot of the time my MINI is parked on a narrow street, I'm dreading the day.

Thank god it was just the mirror and not the whole side of the car - was he wearing a wide brimmed hat - here in Australia thats a definate indicator of someone to avoid.

what is it about rover drivers? I think the majority of the rover 200 and 400 series owners wear flat caps, smoke pipes and moan at anything that moves.

Im not violent either but the thought did cross my mind to kick his wing mirror off! It would have just looked as though it were damaged when he struck mine. Starting to get angry thinking about this again!

where did it happen? I saw some car whack a wing mirror today, an old boy driving - he didn't even batter an eyelid. He went past my car slowly and I was ready to pounce, but luckily he missed. hmmm

Black Cooper Accident blackspot

This was yesterday in Harriestsham by Maidstone. This, you see, seems to be where all the blind old people with Rovers live!

Considering it was a rover, I would have used the situation to my advantage.I would just laugh and say "No problem, it was all my fault", put your hand in your pocket, pull out a 20p coin and say "this should cover the damage, or if you wait a minute i can open my wallet, find a £1 coin and just buy the car off you" -BEWARE THOUGH! - you will probably have to run very fast away from the owner though as hes bound to be angry! and those mobile shopping carriers can go at quite a speed!

I just clunk mine in manually when on a tight road. From the looks of it there is no stress or damage made when you do so. Someone "kindly" clunked it for me the first time I parked on my girlfriends street. Clearly they had it happen to them too, instinctively I now walk round and clunk it when I park there nowadays..

you obviously cant do that when driving though...

oooooooh Harrietsham is a lovely place!!! But yeah, I try not to venture out that far into Kent on a Sunday!!
Sorry to hear about your wingmirror - I hate Rovers anyway. We had a Russian bloke, who was about 30 who died his hair bleach blonde and listened to "music" at 11:30pm in a residential road in his "suped up Rover" My god this thing was ugly. Anyway it had one of those things, dump thingy, that would make a ssshhhhhh pitchoo noise so he would drive along revving his car up then stopping up and down the road.
I went down my old road the other day and the whole of the drivers side was inverted and the windows out. Dont let anyone ever tell you there isnt Justice
I hope Rover man sees sense and pays for your wingmirror!!!

LONG LIVE SILVER CHEQUERS
