i'm sure this got summarised somewhere - thats a lot of text for people to read. it seemed to do the job thought - after the big discussion that lead to this being issued i don't think there were any more run related mishaps on the road.

damn i'm missing the runs now....

Hmmm,

I believe we should request for this to be made a permanent sticky in Meetings and Events Forums. Perhaps the link was removed as most events now includes the Run Etiquette as part of the run notes

I have put the Run Etiquette up on the web some time ago for Cotswold 2003 I think, which can be found via this link:

Feel free to refer to it if you wish

Thanks Dora... I know those of us who have been involved in quite a few runs know about the Etiquette notes and include them with run notes, but if newbies don't know they exist then they don't know to look

if that makes sense, and they weren't easy to find even for an oldie like me

i was wondering what with my essex run coming up whether i need to speak with the police or rac to let them know about it or as it's not a race or rally that i needn't bother?

No you don't have to inform the police but make sure everyone reads these notes or someone else might inform the coppers if there is any irresponsible driving

most people don't need telling but it's easy to get carried away.
